We here at Terlingua Ranch Lodge are happy that you are considering our facility and we sincerely hope that your visit is most pleasant. Here is a little additional information, which we hope will enhance your stay with us:
While we rarely see snakes in the lodge area, they are assuredly present from time to time. Rattlesnakes, copperheads, and others can present a real danger to the unwary. Please keep these hints in mind: always look before you step and do not attempt to move, approach or kill any snake. Notify the office or ranch personnel if you see a snake. Never put your hands into places where you cannot see. ALWAYS carry and use a flashlight while walking at night.
The lodge does not provide daily housekeeping. Inquire at the office or the restaurant to see if housekeeping is available. If so, you may place your towels on the front porch of your cabin, before noon, and fresh ones will be provided.
Checkout time is noon. If you wish to stay additional nights beyond what you have designated, please inform the office as soon as possible.
All lodge facilities are used by property owners and by guests at their own risk.
Please use only designated hiking trails and roads in the lodge area. Do Not attempt to climb White House Mountain behind the motel.
There is NO FUEL available at Terlingua Ranch. The closest gas station is 30 miles from the lodge in Study Butte. It's best to top off in Alpine before you begin the trek South.
The nearest bank and ATM is 30 miles from the lodge in Study Butte. Please bring a good supply of smaller bills as change is hard to come by.
Although emergency medical services are available, the nearest medical facility is 80 miles north in Alpine. If you have particular medical needs, please discuss them with us before making reservations.
Lastly, please conserve water. Remember, we are in the Chihuahuan Desert.
